Description
Korsteel's Hollow Mouth French Link Loose Ring Snaffle is considered a kinder option than a normal width mouthpiece, as thicker mouthpieces are milder on the horse's mouth. Care must be taken to determine if the horse has enough room in their mouth to accommodate such a thick mouthpiece, as if the horse does not have enough room, this can cause the horse more discomfort. The French Link in the centre of the bit reduces the pressure on the tongue, palate and bars of the mouth by reducing the nutcracker action commonly associated with single-jointed snaffles. The loose ring cheeks allow the horse to move the bit up and down in their mouth with their tongue, so can help to reduce the horse's lean on the bit. This bit is dressage legal.
